Postgraduate / Final Year Project (FYP) opportunities

FLAIR provides the broadest range of possibilities for Final Year Projects in the field of fluid mechanics in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering.

FLAIR supervisors

• have expertise in both experimental and computational fluid mechanics,

• oversee current research projects ranging from fundamental to applied engineering problems,

• draw on industrial and scientific experience through employment with NASA, CSIRO, Holden, etc.,

• maintain links with outstanding international research laboratories,

• publish their work in the leading journals in the field (including Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Fluids and Structures, Physics of Fluids).

FLAIR provides projects suitable for:

• students considering a continuation to a Higher Degree in Research (Ph.D. or Masters of Engineering Science),

• students who wish to pursue an industry-based engineering career.
